Career Opportunities at Paws for A Cause Vet Care

(Formerly Spay Illinois)

At Paws for a Cause Vet Care, it’s more than a job; it’s a mission, a model, and a movement. We are a mission-driven, nonprofit, full-service veterinary organization working to redefine what accessible veterinary care looks like in our communities.

We believe pets are family, and access to veterinary care should never depend solely on income, geography, or circumstance.

We are building one of the Midwest’s largest full-service nonprofit veterinary care models, and we are seeking veterinarians who want to combine excellent medical care, a strong team culture, and meaningful community impact.

Our team currently includes 6 full-time and 2 part-time veterinarians, and we are actively recruiting 2–3 additional veterinarians to support our growth. Located in Naperville, Illinois, our new 16,000 sq. ft. hospital features specialized Dental, Advanced Surgery, HQHVSN, and General Practice departments.

We welcome veterinarians who want to practice across all departments, as well as those who prefer to work in one department. New Graduates are encouraged to apply.

If you want to practice medicine that matters for pets, families, and the future of our profession, we would love to meet you.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform 35-45 spay and neuter surgeries daily in a high-volume, high-quality (HVHQ) setting.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care and surgical excellence.
  • Collaborate with a supportive medical team.
  • Opportunity to mentor less experienced veterinarians if interested.

Qualifications:

  • DVM or equivalent degree.

  • Experience in high-volume surgery; robust surgical training is available.

Work Schedule:

  • 4-day work week, Monday-Friday.
  • Rotate one Saturday per month from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
